Truck driver CV for Germany (Berufskraftfahrer)
German logistics companies are short of truck drivers. Your CV should show your licence classes, qualifications and the kind of transport you know.
Recognition and permits
- You need a CE licence. Licences from outside the EU must usually be converted (Umschreibung) at the German driving licence office.
- Professional drivers also need the driver qualification (Berufskraftfahrerqualifikation) – shown as code 95 on the licence.
- You need a German digital tachograph driver card (Fahrerkarte). Dangerous goods require an ADR certificate.
- Write each item with dates on your CV: “Führerschein CE (seit 2012), Code 95, ADR-Bescheinigung bis 2028”.
